Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Optional: fresh parsley for garnish
Feel free to swap the egg noodles for whole wheat or gluten-free alternatives if you fancy a change. And if cheddar isn’t your cheese of choice, a sprinkle of parmesan or mozzarella works wonders too!
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until they turn translucent and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Cook until it’s browned all over, approximately 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and paprika. Let it simmer gently to allow the flavors to meld, about 10 minutes.
- While the sauce simmers, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Once the sauce has thickened slightly, season with salt and pepper to taste. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, tossing everything together until well coated.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top, allowing it to melt into gooey perfection. Cover the skillet and let the cheese melt for 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired. Enjoy the warmth and comfort that each bite brings.
