Ingredients
Scale
Gather these simple ingredients, and you’re halfway to creating magic:
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 2 cups of fresh broccoli florets
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: red pepper flakes for a hint of heat
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, letting them sauté until the onion is translucent. Oh, the aroma!
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon (my preferred kitchen companion). Cook until it’s browned and no longer pink.
- Stir in the broccoli florets, allowing them to mingle with the beef. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender-crisp.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and ground ginger. Pour this mixture over the beef and broccoli, stirring to coat everything evenly.
- Let the dish simmer for another 3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld beautifully. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if you fancy a bit of heat.
- Serve hot, and enjoy the warmth and comfort that only a dish like this can bring.
