Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound of beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of paprika
- 16 ounces of cheese tortellini
- 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup of beef broth
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F. This ensures the casserole bakes evenly, allowing the cheese to melt perfectly.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef sirloin and sauté until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, add the onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened, approximately 3-4 minutes. Stir in the garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika, cooking for an additional minute.
- Return the beef to the skillet, mixing it with the vegetables. Add the beef broth, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- While the beef mixture simmers, cook the tortellini according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked tortellini, beef and vegetable mixture, and 1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese. Stir until everything is evenly coated and the cheese begins to melt.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
