Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 slices of bacon
- 1 packet ranch dressing mix
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 12 slider buns
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley, for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Feel free to substitute turkey bacon if you’re looking for a lighter option, or experiment with your favorite cheese blend to make these sliders your own.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the chicken breasts into small, slider-sized pieces. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet, heat a splash of olive oil over medium heat. Cook the chicken until golden and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side.
- While the chicken is cooking, fry the bacon in a separate pan until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat.
- In a large bowl, toss the cooked chicken with the ranch dressing mix until evenly coated. This was always my favorite part, watching the flavors meld together.
- To assemble the sliders, place chicken pieces onto the bottom half of each bun. Top with a slice of bacon and a sprinkle of cheddar cheese.
- Place the top half of the buns on each slider and brush with melted butter. Sprinkle with parsley for that extra touch of freshness.
- Arrange the sliders on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the buns are slightly toasted.
These steps are straightforward and infused with love, much like the recipes passed down from my mum. Feel free to add a personal twist, such as a dash of hot sauce or a sprinkle of your favorite herbs.
