Learn how to make delicious Cajun Cream Cheese Alfredo Bowties with Spiced Ground Beef. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

  • 12 oz bowtie pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

If you’re missing a few ingredients, fret not! You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef, and if you prefer a lighter option, half-and-half can be used in place of heavy cream. Remember, cooking is an art, not a science, and personal touches make it all the more special.

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, about 6-8 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle the Cajun seasoning over the beef, add the minced garlic, and cook for another 2 minutes until fragrant. Remove the beef mixture from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low and add the cream cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. Slowly whisk in the heavy cream until the mixture is well combined and creamy.
  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Continue to whisk until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add the cooked pasta and beef mixture back into the skillet, gently tossing to coat the pasta and beef in the sauce.
  7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together beautifully. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  8. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy the dish hot, straight from the pan, just like those cherished meals from my childhood.

Cooking is as much about intuition as it is about following a recipe. Trust your senses, and don’t be afraid to adjust the seasoning to suit your taste.
